Norwegian dancing in the German pop city
by Webmaster, 28.06.2010
In 30 degrees Celsius, the Norwegian indie pop family Pony the Pirate, and club favourites Casiokids launched the first real concert night at c/o pop in Cologne.
Pony the Pirate played in front of an international audience Thursday night at Stadtgarden as part of the festival’s programme Europareise. With their voice-tributing appearance, they shared stage with Icelandic Hjaltalín, while Music Export Norway hosted a reception where Norwegian disco riders DJ Vinny Villbass & DJ Charlotte Bendiks set the summer beat. Bugge Wesseltoft & Henrik Schwarz duo performed at the festival’s gala final in Cologne’s Philharmonie.
Later on the same night, Casiokids entered the cellar stage in the same house to chanting locals and their stomping feet, leaving both the industry visitors and the German audience wanting more of their playful acoustic/electronic danceable songs.
Music Export Norway, together with the artists, used c/o pop and it’s Europereise programme to meet the international and German industry.
