Nordic Music Seminar - New YorkMonday 2006-12-18 On the 28th and 29th of November, Music Export Norway (in collaboration with Music Export Denmark) arranged a networking seminar with the American music business. The seminar was held at the Scandinavia House in New York, and was conducted in collaboration with the Norwegian and Danish Consulates, as well as the Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C. With over a 100 attending business people the seminar was a success. Seldom has the feedback from the Norwegian music business been so good, something that illustrated how longed-for such an program has been. The initiative for the event was made and led by Music Export Norway. 
31ST OCTOBER – 4TH NOVEMBERLow Frequency in Stereo, 120 Days and Don Juan Dracula at CMJMonday 2006-12-18 The CMJ Music Marathon was recently held in New York and featured three Norwegian bands playing a showcase under the banner Norway Støy (Norway Noise). The showcase was made in cooperation Vice Records and the Norwegian Consulate in New York, with Music Export Norway providing travel funding for the bands. All the bands gained considerable attention 120 Days and Serena Maneesh in ParisMonday 2006-12-18 On the 15th of November, two of today’s most requested Norwegian bands visited the French club La Fléche D’or, together with the Danish bands The Broken Beats and I Got You On Tape. The showcase production was done in cooperation with Music Export Denmark and gathered together close to 600 enthusiastic audience members, journalists and music business people under the title “Spot on #1.” Norway at WOMEX in Seville -06Monday 2006-12-18 25th-29th October saw 2,500 delegates and 425 journalists from a total of 97 countries gathered at the World music conference WOMEX, held in Seville, Spain. The Norwegian stand at the conference represented Norwegian festivals, record labels, management and distributors. Artists Adjagas and Karl Seglem had showcases during the festival. 
Frost and Sally Suicide at In The CityMonday 2006-12-18 The music conference In The City was founded by Factory legend Tony Wilson and his colleague Yvette Livesey. The conference, now in its 15th year, gathers large parts of both the British and international music industry. The days consist of a series of seminars, while the evenings and nights were dedicated to music with an extensive showcase program.

Norway at WOMEX 2006Thursday 2006-10-26 The World Music Expo is on and Music Information Centre and Music Export Norway are back in Seville to promote Norwegian world music. Norwegian Showcases at Popkomm 2006Wednesday 2006-08-30 12 Norwegian acts will perform showcases at this yearÂ’s Popkomm. YouÂ’ll be able to see ten of them at the Norwegian Night on Thursday (21/9) at the Kulturbrauerei, where they will play the Kesselhaus and the Maschinenhaus. Mark your calendar! The close proximity (they're under the same roof!) of the Kesselhaus and the Maschinenhaus makes this night ideal for alternating between the two venues.
Norway at Popkomm 2006Friday 2006-08-25 Norway will certainly make its presence felt at this yearÂ’s Popkomm with a dedicated Norwegian showcase night at the Kulturbrauerei. This will be held the attractive venues Kesselhaus and Maschinenhaus. In addition to the concerts, 19 companies will be joining the Norwegian stand this year. Be sure to drop by and check up on the latest! And don't forget our Nordic Drink Party where you'll get the chance to meet with Nordic colleagues. Definitely the "coolest" drinks at Popkomm...

Music Export Norway and the Music Information Centre Norway will again be there to promote Norwegian music.
