Everything ready for WOMEX!

WOMEX is regarded as one of the most important meeting places for professionals working within the field of World music. The international fair combines exciting concerts in genres such as World music, folk music, roots and ethnic music, and provides many networking opportunities for professionals from a multitude of countries. In addition, an extensive conference program has been arranged.

Over the last 13 years WOMEX has grown to include more than 2,800 delegates and 1,400 companies from 90 countries. More than 750 record companies, publishers and distributors have announced their arrival, while approximately 350 journalists will cover the event.

Music Export Norway organizes the presence and visibility of the Norwegian business professionals at WOMEX. Among the delegates taking the trip this year are the Music Information Centre, Kirkelig Kulturverksted, Grappa, Rikskonsertene, Etnisk Musikklubb, Førde Folk Music Festival, Norwegian Traditional Music Agency, TA:LIK and the Oslo World Music Festival.
