New project:
Brazil loves BigBang
by Webmaster, 14.12.2011
A unique project by Frost Music has put Norwegian act BigBang on the Brazilian map.
Frost Music is a collaboration between organizers in Brazil and Norway in order to bring music from the north to Brazil, and through this make Brazil an essential destination for touring bands.
The first project was recently finished, with Norwegian act BigBang playing a six show tour in the four cities Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Carlos and Goiania. In addition, the band appeared in several radio interviews and television shows. On some of the dates, the stage was shared with fellow Norwegian artist Kenneth Ishak.
- The feedback has been great, and several big industry players have reported interest in the band for 2012, says Stian Olsen of Frost Music.
Øystein Greni of BigBang was very excited about touring Brazil for the first time.
- All the shows went great and the potential for future work in Brazil is large, he comments.
The project was supported by Music Export Norway.
